How can we honor what's come before even as we move forward?

 

This event was a "goodbye to all that" party, a gift from a mother to her daughter before she left home.  

​

A map led through familiar streets, elaborately built-out box trucks added elements of surprise, purpose, and revelry along the path.  Friends, mentors, and family joined the procession until a marching band led them all to the river for a final ritual.
