Fiddlehead Playground
The Fiddlehead was designed and built for the Envision Festival in Uvita, Costa Rica. Envision requested a playground for adults that would act as a central gathering spot for the festival's "village." Inspired by the trees in the area, the structure was built in a spiral. It contained a spiral staircase, three tree houses, a curving gangplank, a 30' bridge, and a bamboo slide. Some areas were for gathering and relaxing, while others called for challenging physicality. The addition of a pulley system to transport burlap sacks back to the top of the slide created a fun interaction for participants to take part in cooperativly.
